Tabitha is the younger sister of Count Thallatos. Like her big brother, she was born with innate magical talent. Unlike her brother, her powers are in illusion and enchantment. However, their family connection is not publicly acknowledged, and Tabitha uses a different last name than the one she and her brother were born with. Relatively few people know that they are related at all.
Some time after the Reclamation War ended, Tabitha moved to Darromar and accepted a teaching position at a new school for mages that was opening there (with significant support from the new king and queen). She became an instructor of illusion and enchantment magic, a position that brought her to the crown's attention.
Tabitha was hired to be the personal tutor of the three royal children: the identical triplets Princess Cyriana, Prince Coram, and Crown Princess Sybille. Her duties officially included teaching the triplets the basics of magic and either supplying their basic education herself or arranging for other tutors, she was often also responsible for watching the children when their mother or father were kept busy by affairs of state. As such, Tabitha is probably the person whom the children trust more than anyone else except their own parents.
Tabitha's two jobs kept her very busy, but her post as tutor of the royal children was also a cover identity to mask her true role: a secret agent of the crown. Tabitha's particular skill set made her an ideal spy. Though most of her spying was done at court, she was eventually sent along with the adventuring party that included her brother Thallatos, to investigate the situation in Myratma for the crown and report on her findings.
Eventually Tabitha went missing in Myratma, which caused Queen Zaranda to dispatch a second agent named Lhaeo (actually King Haedrak in disguise) to find out what happened to her. Tabitha was found to have been captured by the Bone Claws, though she was rescued by her brother and his friends.
Tabitha helped in the battle with the Eyes of Night guild as well as the subsequent attack on the Bone Claws a few days later. She had actually been dominated by the vampire Lord Seth before he released her, but did not cross paths with him during the battle and was thus not ordered to betray her brother and his friends.
Since King Haedrak placed Myratma under martial law and began to try and set the city to rights after the Golden Days of Eleint, Tabitha has remained in Myratma to act as his assistant in rooting out corruption and hunting down the remnants of the shattered thieves' guilds.
As for her other duties, Queen Zaranda has hired a replacement tutor for the time being, and the magic school has granted Tabitha an extended leave of absence.
