Rodney Lockhart is a proud paladin of Sune, the Faerunian goddess of beauty, love, and passion. Those who have met him do not soon forget the sight of a tall, muscular man in bright pink full plate, wielding a fiery greatsword while astride a tall white horse with a well-groomed pink mane.
Rodney likes to play the lute and sing while he travels, and the song "Wild Honey Pie" has sort of become his anthem over his travels. He was angered when his lute was destroyed not once but twice by Leon Letum, supposedly one of his allies.
As with any paladin, Rodney's mission is to protect the innocent and battle evil, but to him the greatest duty is to crusade against bigotry, intolerance and hatred wherever it can be found. He reserves his most righteous wrath for the bigoted.
The party made the acquaintance of this unusual character while on a mission to defend a small coastal village against a pirate attack. Most of the group seemed to find him irritating, but of the eleven people that signed on to that mission, he was one of the most useful.
It was Rodney who struck down the mysterious warrior that came with the last pirate attack. He had sunk into the ground to retreat from the battle, only to be spotted by Thallatos when he rose from the ground again a short while later. Rodney rode the warrior down and smote him with his fiery greatsword, striking him down.
Rodney accepted no reward for defending the village, and rode off after Leon destroyed his second lute, though he did promise that he and the "bigot" Leon would cross paths again.
