Commissioned Drawing of D&D Characters

So I decided to commission someone from Deviant Art to draw a portrait of Tyrrox, since it's pretty hard/impossible to find an accurate depiction of what Tyrrox looks like online. I'll show everyone when I get the finished product, or at least when I get a version of it.

If you are interested, this particular person specializes in drawing D&D characters and scenes. Depending on what you think of what he does for me you may want to commission him yourself. His going rate for an 8X10 print is $15 for black and white, and $25 for color.

Pretty cool. I hope it turns out great. I never thought about doing anything like that before. This gives me some ideas. There are some mythological beings I would like to have visuals of.

Yeah I agree. If this turns out well there are a lot of drawings I will be asking this guy to do. Particularly I always wanted a picture of Strahd fighting Azalin from the War with Azalin while their undead battle as well.

Wow, that was fast work. I pictured the armor as covering him up more, but that's pretty cool. I think you should crop the section of his torso and face and use it for your avatar.

I had Atma (from the Kargatane board back in the day) draw some stuff for me, but he stiffed me and never actually sent me the full pictures. He claimed that he sent them and they were returned, but I don't believe him.

I also have a friend in my Friday game who is a semiprofessional artist, but his style is a bit more cartoony (for lack of a better word) than I would like for commission work.

If you click on Portfolios there are actually two artists, Dave Holland and Jorell Scott. Dave did Tyrrox but they both have cool work. Tyrrox is actually already up on Dave's portfolio site.

Ok I had Dave, the same guy that did Tyrrox, do another piece for me and it took him about a week and a half but he is finally done. The version he is mailing me will be 16X20, but here is the version he emailed me. I really like it.

But it does look pretty cool. I like the feel of it. You should ask for a giant version to frame and hang on the wall in the basement.

Yeah I'm in the process of getting a 16X20 which is pretty huge, but I won't have it until December 3rd.
